I have already self-published 2 children’s books. My first fable was translated by the German Central Library for the Blind -dzb-lesen- into Braille and standard script with relief printing.
Since 2018, I have been working on “new media for blind and sighted children and for blind parents of sighted children” so that in the future, inclusion can be two-way.
With the playful grasp of Braille at kindergarten age, blind children in particular are encouraged in their reading, writing and spelling skills. Sighted children can learn Braille both visually and tactilely and thus explore the same favorite books together with blind children. In addition to offering Braille and standard print, the illustrations are also presented in three dimensions, making the favorite accessible book much more fun and learning almost incidental.
At Contenshift2020, my team PlusPlural was among the TOP Five and among the Top Nine at the “Social Design Award” of SPIEGEL and Bauhaus.
